 How to Register/Activate Your Copy of DriverFinder
Article DriverFinder is extremely easy to activate once you have your License ID and Password. All you have to do is:
  1. Open the DriverFinder

  2. Click the Register button on the lower, right-hand area of the main window

  1. Type in your License ID and Password

  2. And then click Activate button.

However, your PC may have settings that prevent DriverFinder from accessing its online driver database, which is powered by the Amazon infrastructure.

Following are a few things you can do to troubleshoot any registration issues.

Solution #1: Check that you have typed your License ID and Password correctly.

Your License ID and Password are case sensitive so please make sure you are typing them correctly. Also, please note that Passwords are alpha-numeric so please ensure that any “0” are typed in as zeroes, any “o” is typed as a letter, etc.

Check too that there are no spaces before and after the License ID and Password.

Solution #2: Uninstall-Reboot-Install-Activate

 Sometimes, repeatedly trying to activate your copy of DriverFinder causes a license file checking conflict with our server. In this case, please uninstall-restart-install-activate.

Solution #3: Check your Internet connection settings.

Check that you are connected to the Internet. Open your web browser and try to access various websites, including www.DriverFinderPro.com and see if the sites load properly. If not, wait a few minutes before you try and activate DriverFinder.

If your Internet connection problem persists, please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Solution #4: Ensure your PC is login as the Administrator

NOTE: If you do not have Administrator rights, login as the PC Administrator. If you don’t know how to do this, ask the person who set up your PC to give you Admin rights so you can activate DriverFinder and download and install the latest drivers.

Solution #5: Ensure your Windows firewall is not blocking DriverFinder.

For Windows XP:

1. From Windows->Control Panel->Network Connections*

2. Right-click your active connection and then click Properties.

3. Advanced tab->Windows Firewall->Settings.

4. Exceptions tab -> Add Program -> select DriverFinder.

For Vista and Windows 7:

2. Click Windows Firewall.

3. Click Allow a program through Windows Firewall.

4. Exceptions tab -> Add Program -> select DriverFinder.

5. Click OK twice.

For Windows 8/8.1 and 10:

5. Click the Turn off Windows Firewall (Private network settings (For Admin) / Public network settings (For Guest)

6. Click OK button.

If you are using a different firewall than Windows (or any other Internet security software), pls. ensure DriverFinder is made an exception there.
